City Hall plans to spend £420k on revamping park... but not on what people want
Parents, dog walkers and people living near Woodrow Pilling Park want Norwich City Council to invest in a cafe and toilets at the 44,500 sq metre green space off Harvey Lane.
But under proposals, which are still being finalised, the authority is planning to spend the money on play and sports equipment.

Of the total £422,091 earmarked for the project, around £80,000 is being spent on upgrading the outdoor gym, another £80,000 will go towards the play area and around £60,000 will be used on the pump track.

Money for the project is being funded by the Greater Norwich Growth Board which provides grant funding for infrastructure projects that aim to support growth within the Greater Norwich area.
'OPEN THE CAFE MORE'
Currently, the park's cafe is only open........
