The Redwell Brewery and Taproom in Trowse will host the city's "first festival dedicated to all things chicken" on June 6 and 7.

Organised by Zena Leech-Calton from Love Norwich Food, the event will spotlight several Norfolk-based vendors who serve up chicken dishes, as well as sides, secret sauces and rubs.

"A brand-new chicken food festival is coming to Norfolk - and we're bringing the best of Norfolk chicken to you," she said.

"Crowning the all-time champ of chicken by public vote, that's right.

"This is Norfolk's first festival dedicated to all things chicken - and it's going to be big.

"Find out who rules the roost."

Event organisers are hunting for vendors to take part in the two-day event, with businesses encouraged to make an enquiry now to avoid missing out.

The Redwell Brewery and Taproom is hosting several other events this year, including a children's activity day on April 5 and a series of summer sessions with Dennis, the converted fire truck.
