Norfolk Fire and Rescue teams say they have not yet been able to identify the cause of the fire which ripped through the Talk building on Oak Street at the beginning of this month.

Police also said their investigation into the fire remains ongoing after confirming they were treating the incident as a suspected arson attack.

During the blaze, Oak Street was taped off by police, and fire crews urged people in the area to close windows and doors as smoke billowed from the roof of the building.

Two weeks later, a fire ripped through the Old Mill pub in Drayton, which police are also treating as a suspected arson incident.

Owners of the pub, Carol and Mark Wenn, who run the Greene King pub, said the building had been the target of a "firebomb" attack.

They were woken up to the sound of their fire alarm ringing and smoke overwhelming the building shortly after 3.30am on April 13.

Fire crews and police officers rushed to the scene and worked to stop the blaze.

Police arrested a man in his 30s on suspicion of arson endangering life in connection with the one that caused devastation at the pub in Drayton.

He was taken to Aylsham police station for further questioning but has since been released on police bail while the investigation continues.

Despite the closely linked timings between the incidents on Oak Street and in Drayton, police confirmed the two are not being treated as connected.

Anyone with information regarding the fire at the Talk site on Oak Street is being asked to get in touch with the police, quoting crime reference 36/23265/26.
