Ashleigh Joubert, the woman behind the application, had hoped to have the field on land near Thorpe End.

The site, which is currently vacant, would be open to dogwalkers between 6am and 9pm everyday.

Although there were some neighbours who welcomed the plans because the closest dog-walking field was a 20-minute drive away, there were many who objected.
