Care home plans near the city get the green light
The home at High Road Farm in Tasburgh is for supported living accommodation for up to five people who will be receiving care and support.
Broadland District Council planners said: "There would be no material impacts arising from the proposed changes. As such, the proposed use of the building is granted."
Joshua Nyamse, on behalf of Specialist Care Ltd, proposed the development earlier this year for a five-bedroom property, which already exists, to be turned into a home for a maximum of five people.
Details of his plans for High Road Farm in Tasburgh show the site will continue to be used as a home, with shared communal areas and facilities.
In the application, it was stated: "The scale of the use will remain the same as a typical family home.
"Care and support will be provided in a domestic setting and will include day-to-day assistance such as meal preparation, personal care, medication prompts and support with daily routines.
"No specialist machinery will be installed and all fixtures and fittings will be standard domestic items."
