Greens pick ex-Labour councillor as their Norfolk County Council group leader

The group voted on Wednesday for Maxine Webb to become their interim leader.

Ms Webb is likely to be named the group's permanent leader in a vote at the full county council meeting on Thursday, May 28.

She succeeds Dr Catherine Rowett, who did not stand for re-election as a county councillor.

Ms Webb was first elected to Norfolk County Council in 2021, as a Labour councillor representing Wensum ward.
