Date set for start of eight days of appeal hearings over major new homes scheme
Developer Persimmon Homes has appealed the decision members of Broadland District Council's planning committee took in November last year, when councillors rejected its bid to cut the number of affordable homes provided at the former Royal Norwich Golf Club.
In 2016, Persimmon was granted permission for 1,000 homes at the Hellesdon site, off Drayton High Road, with one third of them to be affordable.
Those are homes offered at below market value to people who would otherwise struggle to get housing.
