Indian space startup Pixxel raises $100 million, total funding hits $195 million

Google-backed Indian space startup Pixxel has raised $100 million in a Series C funding round led by Temasek and Seraphim Space Investment Trust. The company plans to use the funds to expand its satellite constellation, high-resolution imaging systems and Earth intelligence software.

New Delhi: Indian space technology startup Pixxel has raised $100 million in a Series C funding round led by Singapore state investor Temasek and British space-tech investment firm Seraphim Space Investment Trust. The company said the deal marks the largest single funding round raised by an Indian space technology company.

The latest investment takes Pixxel’s total funding to $195 million. Existing investors Radical Ventures and growX Ventures participated in the round, along with new investors 360 ONE Asset and South Korea’s IMM Investment. Google is among the earlier backers of the Bengaluru-based startup.
