From Bangkok to Delhi: Gaggan Anand opens 42-seat Raga at Janpath

Chef Gaggan Anand is opening Raga, his first restaurant in India, at Janpath Road in New Delhi on August 26. The 42-seat restaurant will offer dinner-only service at launch, with its signature tasting menu priced at ₹11,111 per person.

New Delhi: Delhi is getting a new high-end dining address, and this one comes with a familiar name. Chef Gaggan Anand, known for his Bangkok restaurants and years on Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants list, will open Raga in New Delhi on August 26.

The restaurant is at 21A, Janpath Road, Connaught Place, next to Le Meridien. Anand kept his own announcement short with the line, “Dilli, I’m back.” The place has 42 seats and will begin with dinner service only. The signature tasting menu is priced at ₹11,111 per person, with drinks charged separately.
