In the ever-evolving chessboard of Indian politics, where public sentiment shifts like quicksand, Arvind Kejriwal’s Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has been dealt a resounding blow — a political slap delivered through the powerful act of voting. The Delhi electorate, once charmed by Kejriwal’s promises of clean governance, free utilities, and disruptive politics, has spoken loud and clear — enough is enough.

The verdict was a referendum on arrogance, broken promises, and a disconnect from ground realities of Kejriwal and his AAP. For a party that emerged from the fervor of the anti-corruption movement, riding high on the hopes of millions, AAP’s downfall is more than just an electoral defeat. Rs 2,026 crore liquor scam

At the heart of AAP’s humiliating defeat lies the infamous liquor policy scam, which has been further exposed by the Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) report. The report estimated a Rs 2,026 crore loss to the exchequer, directly contradicting AAP’s claims of transparent governance. This was not just another administrative misstep. It was a catastrophic moral failure that cemented the public’s perception of Kejriwal’s party as a hub of corruption.

The BJP did not need to manufacture narratives. In fact Kejriwal served them on a platter. Each press conference, where AAP leaders stammered through denials, only fanned the flames of public outrage. The more they tried to downplay the scam, the more it stuck in the public consciousness, becoming the symbol of AAP’s decaying moral fabric.
