Giving cash is good for politics; agrees AAP, BJP and Congress in Delhi !

New Delhi: Where does one draw a line? What is a freebie and what is a welfare scheme? The Government of India is giving Rs 500 per month to poor farmers under the aegis of Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi. Yes, Rs 500 per month per farmer but which totals to about Rs 75,000 crores per annum. The BJP ruled Madhya Pradesh is giving Rs 1250 to women aged between 19 to 59 under the Ladli Behna Yojana. The BJP-led Mahayuti government of Maharashtra is giving Rs 1500 under Ladki Bahin Yojana.

Similarly, the Congress-ruled Karnataka is giving out monthly assistance of Rs 2000 to eligible women under the Gruha Laxmi Yojana. In Telangana, the Congress government is doling out Rs 2500 to the women head of the family under the Maha Laxmi Scheme. The AAP also declared Rs 1000 per month to poor women in Punjab during the 2022 assembly elections but failed to do so due to poor financial health of the state. It has again announced the same for Delhi. In fact, in Delhi, all the three national parties have announced varying amounts as financial assistance to poor women of the national capital. While the ruling AAP has declared Rs 2100, both BJP and Congress have promised Rs 2500. It adds up to Rs 25,000 to Rs........
