Yamaha open booking of R2 ahead of August 27 launch

Yamaha has opened pre-booking for R2 for a refundable token amount Rs 10,000. It is expected to be a lightweight bike coming and likely with engine displacement between 200 cc and 220 cc.

New Delhi: Yamaha has started accepting pre-bookings for a token amount of Rs 10,000 for its highly anticipated R2 supersport that is scheduled to launch on August 27. Previously, Autocar India had reported that the R2 will be launched in India. It will carry forward the same aspects of its sibling, the R15, as far as the riding experience goes.
