Mercedes-AMG CLE Mythos with 648 hp V8 close to arrival

Mercedes-AMG is close to bringing the CLE Mythos with V8 making 648 hp and could potentially be limited to just 30 units. CLE Mythos would be an ultra-exclusive collector car with strong links to track-focused cars.

New Delhi: Mercedes-Benz is pushing ahead with one of its most exclusive performance projects yet. After introducing the SL PureSpeed, the brand is close to launching the second member of its Mythos family. The brand is using the CLE as its foundation. The upcoming model is expected to be a heavily modified, high-performance coupe with bespoke aerodynamics and a powerful new V8. 

While the production car is still in development, early prototypes have provided enough clues to imagine its possible design. Reports are that Mercedes-AMG are using the Nürburgring for closed-door testing. Rather than having a hotter version of the standard CLE 63, the Mythos is likely to be a much more focused........
