Rohit Sharma could be set for a return as Mumbai Indians captain ahead of IPL 2027, following a major overhaul of the franchise’s coaching staff.

New Delhi: Rohit Sharma is likely to return as Mumbai Indians (MI) captain for the forthcoming IPL 2027 season, reports The Indian Express. The decision was taken after the five-time IPL champions completely revamped their coaching staff over the past week. Rohit was also set to take over the captaincy midway through the last season when the franchise was positioned at the bottom of the table.

Under Pandya’s captaincy, MI only managed to win just 4 games out of the 14 and finished in ninth place in the IPL........
