India break Pakistan's T20I record with seven-wicket win against New Zealand

New Delhi: India broke Pakistan’s record after defeating New Zealand by seven wickets in the second T20I at the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Stadium in Raipur on Friday, January 23.

The Men in Blue chased the 209-run target in 15.2 overs, taking a 2-0 lead in the five-match series. The Kiwis scored 208/9 in 20 overs after being asked to bat first. Devon Conway got off to a great start, smashing 18 runs in the first over against Arshdeep.

Tim Siefert also hit four consecutive boundaries against the same bowler as the Kiwis looked to set a big target. But Harshit Rana removed Conway for 19 runs, while Varun Chakaravarthy dismissed Seifert for 24 in the power play. Rachin Ravindra scored 44 runs off 26 balls, smashing four maximums and two boundaries.
