Tanzid Hasan struck his maiden Test century to guide Bangladesh to 351/6 at stumps on Friday, putting the visitors in a commanding position against Australia after two days of the first Test.

New Delhi: Tanzid Hasan’s first Test hundred put Bangladesh in control of the 1st Test against Australia at the Marrara Cricket Ground in Darwin on Friday, August 14. At stumps on day two, the visitors were 351/6 with a lead of 153 runs. Both Tanzid and Mominul batted with calmness and assurance on Day 2, stitching a 102-run partnership for the second wicket to lay a strong foundation for their side.

Mominul fell just one run short of a half-century and was removed by Josh Hazlewood.........
