James Webb Telescope finds mysterious ‘Black Hole Star’ billions of light years away
Astronomers may have discovered a new cosmic object called a “black hole star” using NASA’s James Webb Space Telescope. The object, seen about 660 million years after the Big Bang, appears like a giant red star but releases energy associated with black holes.
New Delhi: Scientists have spotted a new kind of space body that is a mix of a star and a black hole. Scientists suspect MoM-BH-1 is billions of light years distant, and it has been discovered in the James Webb Space Telescope (JWST) data from NASA.
The object is very large, about the size of the solar system, and is very red. It emits an unusual amount of energy, which means it could be a black hole surrounded by a thick cloud of gas, researchers say.

The international research team discovered MoM-BH*-1 in the course of their observations of extremely distant objects seen by JWST. The object is thought to........
