From trainers to helicopters – HAL to deliver 3 indigenous platforms

HAL will deliver Dhruv NG helicopters to Pawan Hans and LCA Tejas FOC twin-seater trainer aircraft and HTT-40 trainer aircraft to the Indian Air Force. The event is expected to be attended by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Civil Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu and Air Chief Marshal A.P. Singh.

New Delhi: Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) will mark a major milestone in India’s indigenous aerospace and defence capabilities by handing over key platforms to the Indian Air Force and Pawan Hans Limited on September 18 in Begaluru. HAL will deliver Dhruv NG helicopters to Pawan Hans and LCA Tejas FOC twin-seater trainer aircraft and HTT-40 trainer aircraft to the Indian Air Force. The event is expected to be attended by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Civil Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu and Air Chief Marshal A.P. Singh.

Tejas Twin-Seater: More than a trainer

The LCA Tejas twin-seater is not just a training aircraft. It is a two-seat version of the Tejas fighter, designed to help pilots learn to fly the aircraft while still retaining its combat capability. It is capable of undertaking the roles of the single-seat Tejas fighter.........
