RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat highlights ‘apnapan’, seva and Hindu civilisational value at London event | What he said

Mohan Bhagwat said that the Hindu tradition encourages a broad and balanced approach towards the world and human relationships. Speaking about social service activities associated with the Sangh, Dr Bhagwat said swayamsevaks are involved in numerous areas of public and social life.

London: Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) Sarsanghchalak Mohan Bhagwat addressed questions on the Sangh’s 100-year journey, Hindu civilisation, social service, youth and national loyalty during the “Celebration of Oneness” event in London on September 6. The programme was part of the RSS centenary-related outreach and civilisational dialogue. The London event followed Bhagwat’s recent interactions in New York on August 29 and Toronto on August 31.

During the discussion, Bhagwat identified “Apnapan”—a sense of belonging and selfless affection—as a central principle that, in his view, has enabled the Sangh to sustain its work over decades. Asked which single element of the Sangh had endured through the test of time, Bhagwat pointed to Apnapan.He described it as “shuddha sattvik prem”, or pure and selfless love........
