9th accused in illegal leopard hunting and smuggling gang arrested in Delhi

Bhopal: The Madhya Pradesh State Tiger Strike Force (STSF) has achieved a major breakthrough in its ongoing crackdown on illegal leopard hunting and wildlife trafficking. The STSF has arrested the ninth accused allegedly linked to an organized leopard hunting and smuggling network from Delhi. The accused has been identified as Wasim Akram, who is reportedly employed with Wildlife SOS, a Delhi-based wildlife conservation organization.

The case came to light on July 23, 2026, after smugglers were arrested in Agra, Uttar Pradesh, with the skins of 10 leopards. Since the suspected hunting area........
