Esports Nations Cup delayed by a year over regional uncertainty

The first Esports Nations Cup will now take place in November 2027 after organisers pushed the event back by one year. The Esports Foundation cited the wider regional situation and said funding and national team development programmes will continue.

New Delhi: The inaugural Esports Nations Cup has been pushed back by a full year, with the Esports Foundation confirming that the tournament will now take place in November 2027. The event was originally scheduled for November 2026 in Riyadh.

The Esports Foundation said the decision followed an assessment of the wider regional situation and consultations with publishers, National Team Partners and other stakeholders. More than 100 countries and territories are already linked to the event, making the delay a major calendar change for teams, players and organisers preparing........
