Assam: Over 50 students at engineering college fall ill, dead monkey found in water tank

After students started falling sick, they were taken to the Government Ayurvedic College and Hospital. The medical college Principal Pranabjyoti Baishya said that around 52 students were brought in with complaints of vomiting, stomach pain and fever.

New Delhi: A scary incident was reported from Guwahati in Assam. Here 50 students of the Assam Engineering College (AEC), reportedly fell ill after consuming water from a rank, where a dead monkey was found, reported PTI. The college is located in Jalukbari area in Guwahati.

The police said that the incident was reported from Hostel number 7 of the college. The students at this hostel had been complaining about foul-smelling water, since returning back to college after the Durga Puja vacation.
