New Delhi: As the national capital gears up for Republic Day celebrations, extensive security measures, including deploying over 70 companies of paramilitary forces and more than 15,000 police personnel, have been taken to avoid any security lapses.

Apart from the high presence of security personnel, drones, CCTV surveillance, and cyber specialists will monitor the city, and multi-layered security arrangements with six layers of checks and frisking will be in place to conduct the celebrations smoothly.

Thousands of CCTV cameras, including those with Facial Recognition Systems (FRS), are installed in the New Delhi district, along with mobile FRS-equipped vehicles to monitor the areas.
