West Bengal Assembly Elections 2026: EC to release supplementary list for 6 million pending voters soon

The West Bengal Election Commission plans to release a supplementary voter list this week, resolving two million of six million pending names under adjudication. The Calcutta High Court has discussed the matter, and a tribunal will finalize voter eligibility before nominations close.

New Delhi: The first voters’ list of the West Bengal elections is out after the SIR, but the names of approximately 6 million voters were kept on the pending list. As the election dates are announced, the speculation is rife as to when the fate of these pending voters will be decided.

The pending list voters are eagerly waiting for the Election Commission’s publication of the supplementary list. As per the EC sources, more than a third of the six million pending cases have been resolved and the results for the two million voters will be announced within this week.
