Kolkata: On Monday the Indian stock market opened in the green defying the trend in Asian markets. Soon the early gains were surrendered and both the benchmark indices Sensex 30 and Nifty 50 slipped in the red. During the session, the NSE Nifty 50 slipped below the 24,200 mark but managed to reclaim that level by the close. The index ended at 24,219, down 33 points or 0.14%.
