Sensex jumps almost 1,000 points, Nifty surges 260 points: See major gainers, laggards

Helped by a fall in crude prices, the Indian stock market zoomed this morning in early trade. A few minutes after trading began, Sensex 3o was trading at 75,325.51 points, up 1.16% or 865.98 points, while Nifty 50 was at 23,272.00 up 0.95% or 218.90 points.

A few minutes after trading began, Sensex 3o was trading at 75,325.51 points, up 1.16% or 865.98 points, while Nifty 50 was at 23,272.00 up 0.95% or 218.90 points.  Reliance was the top gainers in Sensex 30 basket with 4.7% jump. Close to 10 AM, Sensex was at 75,443.04, up 1.32% or 983.51 points, while Nifty 50 was at 23,308.65, up 1.11% or 255.55 points.

Major gainer and laggards stocks

In early trade this morning, the major gainer stocks in the Sensex 30 pack were RELIANCE, TATASTEEL, NTPC, MARUTI, ASIANPAINT.  The only two stocks in the red........
