LPG: e-KYC deadline extended for a week; server crashes, app issues torment consumers

The process of completing KYC for LPG consumers can continue for one more week, the oil marketing companies have decided in the face of server crashes and app issues. Long queues are seen outside the office of LPG distributors.

Kolkata: To ease the growing pressure of completing KYC for LPG consumers, the Centre has extended the deadline of completing KYC. The earlier deadline was suoppsed to expire on August 16. But faced with immense disruption, the government has decided to extend it by seven days. Hours of server outages, malfunctioning of apps and significant pressure on digital infrastructure have put immense pressure on what was supposed to be a simple process.
