H-1B visa curb prompts US banks to hire more in India: Report
Kolkata: On September 20, US president Donald Trump announced a hike of H-1B visas to Rs 1 lakh. While a sector of the US industry are still trying to find out how to work around the prohibitive fees and still hire talent from other countries, a particular sector such as banks are ramping up hiring in India and assigning important responsibilities in technology and finance, which are going to help these organisations upgrade their talent pool, keep a check on costs. A major benefit for India, apart form the gain in skilled employment, is the push to its image as a key player in the global skilled job market.
