Trump gives ‘last warning’ to Hamas over hostages, what consequences may ensue if he acts on it?

New Delhi: US President Donald Trump’s agenda of enforcing peace in ongoing global conflicts looks to be unending. After a viral showdown with Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky, Trump has again put his focus towards the Ukraine-Russia war. As is with most of his pronouncements, US President Donald Trump took to his social media platform Truth Social to issue a “last warning” to Hamas to release all hostages in Gaza.

“Release all of the hostages now, not later, and immediately return all of the dead bodies of the people you murdered, or it is OVER for you,” Trump posted on Truth Social on Wednesday. Further adding that he would send Israel “everything it needs to finish the job,” and warned that “not a single Hamas member will be safe if you don’t do as I say.”

For the leadership, now is the time to leave Gaza, while you still have a chance,” he says; “To the People of Gaza: A beautiful Future awaits, but not if you hold Hostages. If you do, you are DEAD!” was Trump’s message.

While the United States has a tradition to not engage in conversations with terrorist organisations, and they did designate Hamas as one in 1997, they held talks........
