Europe's inside-out Sun telescope Proba-3 is in trouble. The ground teams are working to restore the mission.

New Delhi: The Proba-3 mission of the European Space Agency, consisting of a pair of satellites flying in precise formation to observe the outer atmosphere of the Sun ran into trouble in March, when the Coronagraph spacecraft ceased communications. The Proba-3 mission was launched by ISRO’s PSLV-C59 mission in December 2024. Over a month after the contact was lost, the ground teams announced that the Coronagraph spacecraft managed to reestablish communications.
