India condemns Islamabad mosque blast, slams Pakistan for 'blaming others for its home-grown ills'

New Delhi: India on Friday condemned the suicide bombing at a mosque in Islamabad, expressed condolences to the victims and firmly rejected Pakistan’s attempt to pin the attack on external forces.

In an official statement issued on February 6, 2026, New Delhi said the blast earlier in the day as “condemnable” and extended sympathy to those who lost family members. India said it was unfortunate that Pakistan, instead of confronting deep-seated problems within its own society, continued to “delude itself by blaming others for its home-grown ills.”

The government categorically dismissed any allegations levelled against India, calling them “baseless” and “pointless,” and said such claims only divert attention from the real causes of violence.
