INDIA bloc leaders to meet in Delhi on September 30 over SIR, Election Commission row
INDIA bloc parties are expected to meet at the Constitution Club in New Delhi on September 30 to discuss the Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls. Opposition leaders may also consider a fresh notice seeking the removal of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar. The Election Commission says it approved all SIR decisions unanimously.
New Delhi: INDIA bloc parties are expected to meet at the Constitution Club in New Delhi on September 30 to discuss the Election Commission’s Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls and their response to reports of differences within the poll panel. Opposition parties have been in touch over a joint course of action, sources told PTI.
