New Delhi: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Friday said two western disturbances arriving in quick succession are expected to trigger rainfall and snowfall across the Western Himalayan region and bring rain to northwest and central India between January 31 and February 3. A third western disturbance is likely to affect northwestern parts of the country from February 5 to February 7.

According to the Met department, light to moderate rainfall or snowfall is likely over the Western Himalaya, while light to moderate rainfall is expected across northwest and central India during the January 31 to February 3 period.........
