Today’s Breaking News LIVE Updates, September 05, 2026: Eight people, believed to be students from Tamil Nadu, were killed after their car crashed into a parked lorry in Kerala’s Thrissur district late Friday, police said. The accident occurred around 11.40 pm at Panambikkunnu in Kaipamangalam while the car was reportedly travelling from Guruvayur towards Kodungallur.

All eight occupants died on the spot. Locals, fire and rescue personnel, and police pulled the victims from the mangled vehicle. Their bodies were shifted to the mortuary at Thrissur Medical College. Police suspect the victims were students from Tamil Nadu as the car involved in the accident had a Tamil Nadu registration.
