New Delhi: Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) all-rounder Tim David has been fined 30 per cent of his match fees and handed two demerit points for his obscene gesture after his side’s 2-wicket win against Mumbai Indians (MI) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 on Sunday. RCB clinched a last-ball thriller against MI to move to the top of the IPL 2026 points table.
The incident took place after Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Rasikh Salam Dar completed two runs off the last ball to help RCB clinch a nail-biting win. David was spotted raising middle fingers, a gesture which has been described as “obscene, offensive and insulting” by the IPL.
