Education, by shining light in a dark cave, can sometimes lead one into its darker depths. The Red Fort blast in Delhi and the uncovering of the Faridabad and other terror modules strewn across the country reconfirms the counterintuitive premise.

Dr Umar from Pulwama, who reportedly drove the i20 car that exploded near the Red Fort last Monday, had done his MBBS from the prestigious Government Medical College (GMC) in Srinagar, securing a seat on merit.

Dr Muzammil Ganaie, who was arrested from the Dhauj house where explosives and weapons were discovered, was an MBBS doctor employed as a lecturer at Al Falah University in Faridabad.

The third Kashmiri doctor, Dr Adil Ahmad Rather, was arrested for putting up Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) posters in Srinagar in October. Dr Adil Rather belongs to the Qazigund area of Kulgam district. His interrogation led to a team of Jammu and Kashmir police and Haryana police discovering 290 kg of ammonium nitrate, assault rifles, timer devices and ammunition in Faridabad.

Then there is Dr Shaheen Saeed and her brother Dr Parvez Ansari. Dr Shaheen was employed at the same Al Falah along with Muzammil and Umar. Right from her days as a medical student, her single-minded focus had reportedly been on get Muslim men hooked up with young Hindu women to sexually exploit and convert them. She then graduated into a doctor supplying arms and explosives to Jaish terrorists........
