Protecting US women’s sports: Letters to the Editor — July 6, 2026

The Issue: The Supreme Court ruling upholding state bans on biological males playing in female sports.

During her 2022 Supreme Court confirmation hearing, Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson could not define what a woman is, saying “I’m not a biologist.” Yet, she was actually allowed to cast a vote in the ruling on state bans on transgender athletes participating in girls’ and women’s sports (“Logic wins, but game isn’t over,” Kirsten Fleming, July 1).

Due to her lack of knowledge on the subject or her aversion to telling the truth on the matter, she should have been excused from voting on the decision.

I agree with Justice Brett Kavanaugh that men should not participate in women’s sports.

I also agree that the trans students who have the desire to compete are teenagers or people in their early 20s and should be treated with respect.

Thank you to the Supreme Court for making the obvious decision concerning boys competing in girls’ sports.

There is a solution that can make everyone happy: Have all the transgender athletes move to states like California or Connecticut.........
