Feckless Democrats doubt Trump: Letters to the Editor — March 9, 2026

The Issue: Rep. Hakeem Jeffries and Sen. Chuck Schumer’s opposition to the US attack on Iran.

After being briefed on the situation in Iran, the feckless Democrats offered their usual high dosage of Trump Derangement Syndrome and gave zero alternative policies or strategies (“Democrats’ Disgrace,” Editorial, March 6).

These US-hating American Marxists spoke as if they neither understand what’s at stake nor what our objectives should be. They are either too dumb to understand geopolitics or are just pathological liars. I think both.

Rep. Hakeem Jeffries represents the Democrats who can’t get out of their own heads to see the success of our military as they root out fanatical Iranians. That President Donald Trump is anathema to them blinds them to a just cause.

The righteous attack on Iran shows us the confederacy of evil can be defeated

Politics comes first for Jeffries, and as a result, he desires the stated mission to be a “failure” as he views it as a win against Trump.

All Democrats are up in arms about the “illegal” war being fought in Iran by the United States. They all cry in unison that Trump was obligated to come to Congress and have them approve. They claimed he disregarded the War Powers Act.

Do you know the last time the president consulted Congress in compliance with the War Powers Act? It was with FDR to begin World War II. How many other wars has the United States been in since?

If Dems keep this up, the Democratic Party will be the most un-American party this nation has ever had to endure.

I don’t know what Sen. Chuck Schumer is worried about; it’s not like he’s going to be drafted into the military and told to fight.

It seems the Dems have lost all respect for law and order and are on the side of criminals as long as they aren’t attacked.

While watching Sen. Schumer and the Democrats bark and nip at the president’s heels, I’m reminded of something Winston Churchill said: “You will never reach your destination if you stop and throw stones at every dog that barks.”

The more the Dems bark, the more they reveal themselves as useless obstructionists with nothing to offer but “bark, bark, bark.”

Trump’s second term has brought, to say the least, the most unexpected master chess moves of this century. He infuriates the world one moment, then has it cheering him the next.

His political opponents here at home have recently revealed they do not have the interest of national security for American citizens at the top of their list.

Some in the international community do not see the vision of what is possible and would rather maintain peace through endless appeasement, which has proven to be dangerously unreliable. Two words come to mind when I think of them: Viscount Halifax.

Trump-deranged members of our government are clutching pearls and predicting gloom and doom regarding the US attack on Iran.

Democrats fear either failure or extended boots-on-the-ground involvement in regime change from a president who abhors both. They claim to be concerned about loss of life for our military when they tolerated the abandonment of our military — as well as avoidable death — due to the lack of judgment by their feckless leader in Afghanistan.

They should take a deep breath and relax for the next few weeks while the president fulfills his oath to protect the American people.

Jeffries wants Congress to stop Trump’s Iranian combat operation. He and his TDS Democrats would rather see a US loss in the Middle East than a victory for Trump’s Iran military mission.

His inflammatory statements about this military operation are tantamount to staggeringly treasonous behavior, and such verbal virulence renders aid and comfort to the enemy. Jeffries has to go.
