The week in whoppers: Jimmy Kimmel rolls out his Hollywood elitism, Biden aide reads Iran’s mind (wrongly) and more
Diary of disturbing disinformation and dangerous delusions
“Before he was elected to the Senate, [Homeland Security Secretary] Markwayne Mullin was . . . a plumber. That’s right: We have a plumber protecting us from terrorism now.” — Jimmy Kimmel, Tuesday
We say: Talk about Hollywood elitism!
Mullin wasn’t just a plumber: He built his family’s six-worker business into the biggest plumbing company in Oklahoma, with over 300 employees; owned eight firms by age 36, served in the House for 10 years and Senate for three.
Such unfunny, smug and condescending remarks are why Kimmel is now the biggest joke on his show.

“The Iranians’ [proposal before the war] . . . went a long way towards resolving the nuclear issue.”
— Biden National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan, Monday
We say: Sullivan pretends the war was needless, as Tehran was willing to end its nuclear threat but US negotiators “didn’t understand what they were being offered.”
Puh-lease: Jake is the guy who claimed the Mideast was “quieter than it has been for decades” just days before Hamas’ Oct. 7, 2023, atrocities ignited the region; he was an “expert” on the team that sent Iran billions of dollars in the delusional Obama nuclear deal.
He has no clue what Iran was really willing to offer pre-war, nor any reason to think it would keep its promises.
TSA airport chaos should be illegal — because flyers already pay for security
“There is a deliberate effort to try to make black [ICE] agents . . . the face of this authoritarian takeover of these airports.” — Sirius XM host Reecie Colbert, on Monday’s ICE deployment
We say: Call it ICE Derangement Syndrome.
Agents were deployed to airports to help ease lines caused by a shortage of TSA staff, thanks to Democrats’ Homeland Security shutdown.
How is that remotely “authoritarian”?
And if no agents were black, lefties would scream “racism.”
“All American bases in the region have been destroyed, American commanders and soldiers have fled and . . . and we are searching for them.” — Iranian military spokesman Ebrahim Zolfaqari, Wednesday
We say: Baghdad Bob has nothing on Ebrahim Zolfaqari (Tehran Tom?), who may soon be bloviating to 72 virgins.
Iran hit a few US bases, but destroyed none. Far from on the run, more US troops are racing to the region.
Meanwhile, the US and Israel have destroyed Iran’s navy and its air defenses, most of its missiles and missile launchers along with much of its leadership and its missile-, drone- and ship-building facilities.
