Critics have a bizarre new cudgel to use on Team Trump: living conditions on the USS Abraham Lincoln.
The nuclear-powered Nimitz-class aircraft carrier has been at sea with 5,000 service members for more than 260 days, including more than 150 in a combat zone.
Reports of food and supply shortages and slipping morale went viral after one sailor apparently had to be rescued after jumping overboard (wearing a life-vest) and a few others reportedly had suicidal thoughts.
The left is painting the carrier’s conditions as unusually bleak, linking them to the ship’s long deployment and blaming it all on President Donald Trump and Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth’s supposedly mismanaged war.
Please. Yes, the Lincoln’s deployment has been long, but its conditions are hardly rare for the military, especially in wartime.
