While the Conservative platform, released Tuesday, notes the innumerable hardships Canadians have faced over what it terms the “Lost Liberal Decade,” it is filled with a wealth of actionable plans to bootstrap the country’s economy, reduce the cost of living and protect us from foreign threats.
Many of the Tory promises will be intimately familiar to our readers, as they are the type of common-sense ideas we’ve been advocating for years. Ideas like getting tough on crime, ending disastrous “safe supply” programs, speeding up approvals for medications that have been green-lit by our peer countries, getting immigration levels under control and cross-country recognition of health-care professionals trained in the U.S. or Canada.
