“Climate isn’t going away … it’s getting worse all the time,” she said in an interview marking the release of her third and final report as chair of the grandly named United Nations High-Level Expert Group on the Net Zero Emissions Commitments of Non-State Entities.
“Once again, the past year broke temperature records,” McKenna noted in the report. “Too many countries have failed to deliver on the promises they made in Paris, and emissions continue to rise, making it more likely we will overshoot the 1.5 C target. Around the world, we are witnessing the devastating impacts of climate change and an accelerating biodiversity crisis driven by deforestation.”

What indeed? McKenna is a climate change warrior, and each of her assertions may be entirely accurate.
