Mulcair: The CAQ now wants to mess with organ transplants. Be afraid
Transplant Québec is a shining star in the health care firmament. It works well, 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year because it cannot play its crucial role otherwise. Human organs don’t become available for transplant only during civil-servant office hours.

We have an organ-transplant system that is a wonderful integrated model. It even includes police officers who volunteer their time to make these exceptional deliveries so that lives can be saved. Eleven municipal forces across the province take part in the program, as does the Sûreté du Québec.
Apparently not content with swinging the sledgehammer at doctors and our already shaky health-care system with Bill 2, the government of François Legault has also decided to fix something that isn’t broken: Transplant Québec.
