A couple of years ago, a colleague and I jokingly complained on air that we hadn’t yet received our Christmas cards from him. We had both been rather critical of the Coalition Avenir Québec government and weren’t actually expecting holiday greetings from the premier.
Well, we had underestimated him.
Lo and behold, we soon both received handwritten greetings with a little personal note — a practice he would continue. This year, his note to me read: “Cher Thomas, En 2026, je vais essayer de te........© Montreal Gazette
