GLP-1 receptor agonists, of which semaglutide (a.k.a. Ozempic) is the most well known example, has revolutionized obesity management. Though cost was a limiting factor for many, for others the idea of injecting themselves weekly was a non-starter. But for those afraid of needles, the last few months have shown that oral versions of these medications may offer a real alternative.
