We stayed at the 'gorgeous' spa retreat 'unlike any other' and can see why it's lavished with five star reviews

A day at a spa is enough excitement for most people, me included, so you can only imagine my excitement heading off for a spa retreat.

With exams finally over, what better way for two mums and their daughters to celebrate with some serious pampering.

Yorkshire Spa Retreat was our destination for two days, a recently developed resort offering 'a unique spa and lodge experience', which, since opening in 2022, has been lavished with five star reviews.

Part of the Hoseasons collection, it's set in over 11 acres of rolling Yorkshire parkland and billed as an 'oasis of tranquillity' offering visitors 'an ideal place to relax and unwind whilst enjoying the splendour of the Yorkshire Moors countryside'.

You can just visit the spa for the day, but we were lucky enough to sample the accommodation, staying in The Blacksmiths Hot Tub accommodation with two bedrooms, a private hot tub, pergola and barbecue.
