I'm 76 and will never retire - I see too many pensioners fade into irrelevance

For generations of workers, retirement started the day they hit the state pension age. But longer lives, shifting finances and changing attitudes have blurred that boundary between work and rest. Some, who can afford to, choose to retire before they are eligible for state support, while others work beyond it either as a choice or for financial stability. So, when is the right time to retire? Ageing expert Dr Denise Taylor, early retiree Emma Parsons-Reid and 76-year-old columnist Yasmin Alibhai Brown offer their perspectives.
