Company Boards Are Getting More Diverse, but Your Hiring Practices Might Still Need Tweaking
Even as official efforts to promote equity and inclusion at private companies are squelched, fewer board members are White and male.

A psychology professor who’s been researching trends in the corporate world for decades has found for the third year in a row that white men didn’t hold the majority of seats on boards of the 50 biggest U.S. companies. This sounds like a win for diversity efforts, shaking up tired macho corporate stereotypes and unfair power dynamics, especially since over 50 percent of Americans are female and over 40 percent do not identify as Caucasian.
