OK, Mr. “I Know AI and You Don’t” Guy. Let’s you and I have a little chat.

Because you’re a big part of the problem. You’re one of the primary reasons why people were so late to understand exactly what AI should mean to them, and why those people, and so many more, generally have a huge distaste for AI now. 

It’s a little like what happened with crypto – no – it’s a lot like what happened with crypto, and we all know the dumpster fire that became.

I can’t let you do that with AI, or what we’re calling AI, now that it’s clear you’ll keep writing thought pieces about how you’ve masterclassed chatbots and other derivative AI tools. I can’t let AI become a joke because of how you’ve decided to define AI. 

You’re Not An AI Expert

It’s cool. It’s fine. Look, I’m not an AI expert, either. 

I started mucking around with automation algorithms and recommendation engines on my own  in real-world, self-founded business use cases in 1999. I helped invent the first commercially available generative AI platform in 2010. We started powering Yahoo Fantasy Football recaps in 2011 and Associated Press articles in 2012 before being bought out by private equity in 2015.
