Apple appears to be cooking up a wave of new products to be announced next week, according to Bloomberg. The releases will come amid the company’s hinted push toward artificial intelligence-driven wearables that function through visual intelligence.

The report based some of its predictions directly on comments from Apple CEO Tim Cook, who has emphasized his excitement for visual intelligence at several moments.

A Spotlight on Visual Intelligence

“One of our most popular features is visual intelligence, which helps users learn and do more than ever with the content on their iPhone screen, making it faster to search, take action and answer questions across their apps,” Cook said on the company’s holiday earnings call.

Apple first introduced visual intelligence in 2024 through its iPhone 16 Pro. Now, users can take a photo and ask ChatGPT questions about it, or find a particular item through Google’s reverse search feature. But Apple reportedly wants to build devices that operate more primarily through visual intelligence.

Cook mentioned the technology in an all-hands meeting with employees recently, too, saying Apple “unquestionably” has a “huge advantage” in the AI field, according to Bloomberg.

According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, he wouldn’t be dropping the hint “if things weren’t going to accelerate in that area soon.” Still, it will be months at least before such devices, including advanced AirPods and smart glasses, are unveiled.

The Products to Be Announced Next Week

Bloomberg mentioned various products expected to launch in the coming months, including updated hardware, software, and chips. The launch announcements will take place over three days starting March 2, with the first major product experience of the year scheduled for March 4.
